“Super Bass” is a song by American recording artist and songwriter Nicki Minaj, from her debut album, Pink Friday. According to Minaj the song’s lyrics tell the story of a boy that you have a crush on and are about wanting to get intimate but instead taking a playful approach. The song draws from the hip hop, R&B genres while infusing elements of pop and Minaj’s rap.

“Teenage Dream” is a mid-tempo pop song with a retro sound. Perry starts singing in a high voice and her vocals grow stronger as the song progresses. Lyrically it talks about being with a lover that makes one feel young again.
